High quality white meat fish. Commonly known as golden fish, lemon fish, lampuga, perico or mahi mahi. Belongs to epipelagic oceanic and neritc fish family, from tropical and subtropical waters, appears on Atlantic, Indic and Pacific Oceans. Mahi Mahi is caught all along Peruvian coast, being the highest catching period between spring and austral summer, time when fishes reach their biggest size. It´s caught by hook, or spinel.
